American Slang word meaning excellent.  (3)      I have  D ? ?

Just checked my dictionary, says def is slang for excellent, but doesn't 
stipulate the origin.  Hope this is of some help.

Many thanks.    That will do very nicely!     I have never heard that
word used in that context BUT....
