The event, which will be hosted by Graham Norton, rewards the best of
British television talent. The nominees include Bodies, Conviction,
Shameless and Spooks, for best drama series, and The Bill, Coronation
Street, Doctors and Holby City for best soap.
A new audience award, The Pioneer Award, will also be presented at the
ceremony. It sets out to honour programme-makers whose novel and bold
approach has brought both critical praise and commercial success. The
shortlist, which was selected by a committee of national television critics,
includes Green Wing (Channel 4), Shameless (Channel 4), This World: One Day
of War (BBC Two) and Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC Two). To vote for your
favourite show visit www.pioneer.co.uk/bafta .
To celebrate the event, Times Online and Pioneer have two pairs of guest
tickets to the star studded awards ceremony to give away. The evening will
begin with an exclusive champagne reception at the Royal Opera House in
Covent Garden. Following this, the winners will take their seats at the
Theatre Royal to watch the show.

Competition closes Tuesday April 12 at 3pm GMT.
Competition open to those aged 18 and over and resident in mainland UK.
The winner and runners up will be drawn at random from all correct entries
received before the closing date.
Two winners will receive a pair of tickets to the Bafta Television Awards,
on April 17 at the Drury Lane Theatre Royal. Both prizes include an
invitation to the champagne reception. Winners are responsible for their own
transport and accommodation.
Prize are non-negotiable and non-transferable.
Only one entry per person.
Times Newspapers Limited (TNL) will not be liable for technical, hardware,
or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections
which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate.
No purchase necessary. Entrants may be subject to local call charges
depending on their own individual arrangements for Internet access.
This competition is not open to employees of News International, their
families, agents or any other person connected with the competition's
administration. TNL reserves the right to disqualify any entries which it
deems, at its sole discretion, to contravene the spirit of the promotion
