Painting over new plaster
I'm so excited!

My new kitchen is nearly done! The plasterer is coming in later this week
and the builder told me to get some paint 'for new plaster'.

I've been given various opinions as to WHEN new plaster can be painted on
so....

When?

Paint on it after it fades. Once its plastered it will look a deep pink
colour. When it fades to a lighter shade of pink you know its dried. It wont
all dry at the same rate some bits will still be wet quite a while after
the rest of its dried. The first coat of paint (Whatever colour u are going
to finally paint with) should be mixed with water (asuming your using
emulsion) about 50 /50 as a base coat. It goes everywhere but gives a fab
base. If you dont do this it will streak

Good luck
