Walsall Beer Festival
I'm thinking of going to Walsall Beer Festival on Sat 9th April in
Walsall Town Hall, one of the reasons being that there's a classical
organ recital ( makes a bit of a change from the usual beer festival
music!).
Anyone know Walsall at all, and if so, are there any decent pubs
within say 15 minutes walk from the railway station?

You could try the wetherspoon by the church 30 seconds from the venue in
Darwell st, or the best pub which is the Victoria on Lower Rushall St with 6
ales on.

Seconded about the Viccy, although its a bit of a hike from the rail
station. Worth the walk though. The "Pretty Bricks" used to be ok
although its been a couple of years since I was last in there. Its been
GBG listed for years, and is 10 minutes from the station - which is a
grim place at the best of times.
