COA EDI-EWR Load Factors
"Let us hope that Continental Airways daily transatlantic flight to New York
(consistent 94% loads since inception) will provoke more long haul
insistence from other airlines."
The above quote got me thinking, so here are my thoughts, all in the
interests of accuracy of course.
On June 11th 2004 Continental Airlines inaugurated the EWR-EDI service
operated exclusively by Boeing 757-200ER aircraft. Since then until the end
of February 2005 there has been the following ---
460 flights
70,103 pax
Not counting June 2004, the 8 full months July 2004 - February 2005 give us
the following stats -
Average 150 pax per flight
Lowest Load Factor 73.8% (January 2005)
Highest Load Factor 94.76% (July 2004)
Average Load Factor **87.39%**
I *detest* inaccurate web sites.
