Well, gosh, phew, that's a relief. I thought you were dead, or at least laid
up in hospital or maybe crushed under a fallen verandah. But naughty naughty
not telling anyone.

Happy Birthday!

Good. Tell me, Edith, is it still possible to download your songs? I'm
afraid I lost the website address with my change of computer. Could you
please let me have the address once again?

Rex.
PS Hope you had a restful time in Cumbria. We shall be there again in mid
May. We are looking forward to the break. It has been a long winter.

Hello Rex. Yes you can still download. I'll have Orly send you the thingy. I
can't seem to find it. Just a min-yew-et. Try this one, Rex.

Restful-yes- The first bed was too soft-the second bed, I had to hold on all
night to stop from rolling out. Not that I'm complaining mind you-COUGH!-but
I was more 'knackered' every morning when I got up by trying to hold onto
Orly all night.

Now, where's me Camille tea and me Valeriana drops.

Sorry about that people. Yes I'm naughty. It all started 3/4 hour before
Torp airport. I'm fine-just haven't environmentally landed on my feet yet,
lord spare me.

Lol. Thank you Albert. I tried holding onto the handle but I lost my grip,
somehow.

Edith.

Then there was the B&B. We were tired after the journey so we took the first
B&B we found with a parking space outside, 50 a night and to my
disappointment when we saw the room there were two single beds in there. Bad
start to a romantic holiday, a'al say.Doh! Talk about a rip off.

OK! OK! So I didn't tell you all. So, whip
me..........Yes!.........YEEES.........mooooore.

I did intend to go into Keswick post office to tell you all....
but....but........well..........but - couldn't face a computer. Easter and
Orly's hols came suddenly. I thought Easter was in April then it turned up
in March. We were pondering on an April hol but then Orly's firm closed the
place down for Easter and he was forced to take his holidays earlier. I
really don't like Easter in March.

Men thatdon't keep their promises get my gore.

Our leader phoned again : he's a nice man : and this you won't believe :
said they can't begin on work on my verandah tomorrow because the lift is
under reparation and the workers can't get their machinary up to fourth
floor without it : which is true : and the part they need to fix the lift is
to be sent from Sweden by airoplane tomorrow : so : they are beginning on
the veranda on the ground floor.

I didn't say that I was perfect. I said I was blame-free in the
veranda affair. Except for stirring it up a tiny bit.

You should be ashamed of yourself for drawing such a sweeping
unfair conclusion from such a limited remark.

It says something about you that is not flattering. Not
flattering at all.

I admit to stirring up Edith just a tiny little bit over her

If I went around feeling ashamed every time I bruised somebody's feelings
I'd spend my life hanging my head in shame. So I am not ashamed. No! I am
proud - proud, I say! Yes!

Um.

And I'm not fond of flattery either, so I am perfectly happy not to be
flattered.

I'm glad to hear, however, that you don't think you're perfect. I was a bit
worried about you for a minute there.

sounds to me like its 99.9999% certain that a woman broke the verandah,

Titter! If it was only broken I could stick it together again with flower
and water mixed. It's a construction fail where the builders of the early
80s have claused away their responsibility. The verandah/balconies are a
part of the floor construction throughout the whole building. The concrete
is hard. It takes special machinery to 'file' it down and the drawings/blue
prints, if they exist are vital. No firm has been interested in helping me
as they were after a bigger job, repairing all the verandahs, not just
mine-36 in all in this complex and 84 in the other two. They have finally
got their way. My verandah, which is the worst of them all because I am on a
corner on a slight hill, was to be an example of how they could all turn out
and the work was to be free-Then the elevator went on strike and the workers
can't get the machinery up to 4th floor to me and now they are to begin on
the ground floor instead until the lift is in order again and I'll believe
that when I see it.

Honest, I'm so tired of these episodes. If it had been anyone else they
would have had a nervous breakdown by now. I have all my outdoor furniture
and plants in my house. I can't paint, Spring clean or do anything except
wait and it's getting on my
nerves.

The good news is : it's 3+ today and the sun is shining and the skies are
light blue, not a cloud in the sky.

Edith on a slight down.

There's another alternative, of course.

I've just had this link sent to me from my son in Edinburgh. I was planning
to be in town that weekend anyway, so I think I might just take in a bit of
demolition-watching while I'm there.
