Finaincial auditors are in our company this week. Nothing unusual
there as they arrive once a year for a few days and eat sandwiches
etc.

However this year they have made a request for photographic id from
all the employees. A photo driving license and if you dont have one
of those then a passport will do?

Explaination given - new compliance requirements.
Any one else heard of this or had this request made?

No,,, but what sort of business?  Are the photos to be used to prove
you're who you say you are - but surely your employer already knows
that so they can pay you?
