WITH expanding passenger numbers and new routes being launched every
year, employment opportunities at Edinburgh Airport have never been
better, more than doubling in recent years.
With more than 130 vacancies needing filled, the airport has teamed
up with Jobcentre Plus to host recruitment roadshows in Edinburgh,
Livingston, Broxburn and Bathgate today and tomorrow.

operations. There will be permanent and temporary positions on offer
for a range of firms including Aviance, British Airways, Costa
Coffee, Hertz, JD Wetherspoons, Menzies Aviation, Select services,
Alpha flights, retail services and many more.
Tiggy Ritchie, vacancy and services recruitment manager at Edinburgh
City Jobcentre says: "Based on our relationship with Edinburgh
Airport and the employers on site, we are confident that our
knowledge of local jobseekers will help us meet all of their
recruitment needs.
"Advisers from Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to provide advice on
training, support groups and New Deal programmes, and will offer
help with CVs as well as calculating how people could be better off
in work. Many people arent aware of the help we can offer,
particularly to lone parents and those who receive incapacity
benefit."
John Watson, station manager from Menzies Aviation at Edinburgh
Airport, encouraged jobseekers to attend, saying: "The airports
growth is partly due to the outstanding services delivered by staff
who are committed to making Edinburgh airport one of the best in
Scotland. With more expansion to come, 2005 promises to be an
exciting time to work at the airport."

How many groups did Joe Curry cross-post this to? Surely not the same
person who is so vehemently against anyone else cross-posting relevant
articles between newsgroups. More double standards.
