Westmorland Beer Festival
Just got back from a great afternoon in Kendal Town Hall. A group of us
from Lancaster, Preston and Chorley came up on the train. I love that
venue with its huge Georgian windows and high ceiling. Nice quiet
atmosphere for talking, a great range of beers and delicious bread and
cheese. My favourite was Piston Porter from Oakleaf in Gosport, but there
wasn't a duff one amongst them.

So congrats to Westmorland CAMRA and thanks for your time and energy - we
really enjoyed it.

If consumers took even five per cent of their shopping away
from supermarkets and redistributed it among independents,
it would make an enormous difference. Just remember Tesco's
own words: 'Every little helps'.
