The one time we went to Norway was aboard the MS Venus, A.K.A the
'Vomiting Venus' (don't know why it was called that :o). We had a
grand trip; 23 hours it took. I took the opportunity to go up and
down in the lifts as the boat was pitching heavily, just to see if
my dinner stayed put - it did.

The vomiting Venus hey. That's for sure. I vomitted all down the out side of
the boat along with the rest of the passangers and had my head down the pot
the rest of the way. It was b awful. Then there was the M/S Leda on the way
back.....urrg.

Wrung out clout - Edith.

Russell. I found a nice letter today from Miss Benn, in one of my books,
written 1975. T'was a bit touching.

She'd have recovered from teaching me by then... I left school
(Wukkiton Grammar) in 1975, having had Miss Benn for English - I passed
my English exams, though, so I must've larned summat!

Good morning, Russell. Miss Benn mentions in her letter that Victoria had
closed down and that she was teaching at The Grammar School. I took the test
and had the offer to go there 3 times while I was at Victoria but I chose to
stay
where I was. I was happy there and besides, we couldn't afford another
school uniform. Part of me wanted to go to Grammar school with my brother
but I was just so happy at Victoria. It suited my grind, :0) all the
swimming and the super teachers. I'll find the letter when I get home and
tell you a little about it's contents. I have saved all Miss Benn's letters
over the years. I just love that woman. So positive in her teachings, bless
her. I wish...... well, when the time comes I'll be awful sad to see her go,
really.

Can you send me an email and let me know if there is anything she is
especially fond of, please. Incase you don't have my new email address, over
to email...

Edith.
