Broken Fridge?
Yesterday I heard a dripping noise coming from the back of my
fridge/freezer, as if water was running out of it. Now today I went into my
fridge and it isn't working - the inside of it is room temperature and some
food has went off.
Any ideas what's up with it and how to get it fixed? It's only 2.5 years
old, do I need to buy a new one? :(

Is it an auto defrost model? If so look inside the fridge for some
kind of collection trough at the rear which collects water from the
defrost. There should be a drain hole from it??if so,check that it is
clear.

It is either the thermostat that has bust, or stuck, or the motor that
pushes round the fluid that has broken or stuck. Either way if they are
broken it isn't really worth getting the fridge mended as it'll cost you
similar to a new one but if either is stuck (it's usually the motor,
down the bottom at the back) a good whack sometimes helps. I got this
from a professional who brought my sisters fridge back to life in this
way.
Check of course that it is actually being fed electricity.

also check the door isn't warped and it's getting a magnetic seal all
the way round. I've heard fridge repair guys say that quite often all
they need to do is give the door a TWIST to get rid of the warp.
If the machine is running and the elements are cold but the fridge isn't
cool that could be the problem.
