Lytham or Fleetwood! Blackpool's a bit of a wasteland. The CAMRA AGM is
being held there next year...I can hardly wait.

Yeah, here's hoping the beerex is extremely well stocked.
An article for the local newspapers perhaps - you know a "we're coming to
use it as a conference venue but we need to bring our own beer cos this
place is a beer desert." that type of thing?

I think you'll find the organisers realise that this is very important.

On the bright side, I don't mind spending a weekend at a beer festival!

I'd have said a bit of campaigning was very important, hence the comment
about a newspaper article pointing out that we needed to organise our own
beer as the local availability was naff.

Well, since sorting out things for the Great British Beer Festival only
occupies about 70% of our weekends and I only work on call one week in six
I suppose I could fit something extra in.

Hi

the Pump and Truncheon, 13 Bonny Street, in a back street near the tower
serves a good pint and you could try the Ramsden Arms, which is more or less
outside Blackpool North Railway Station.

otherwise good luck!

cheers
