Kids.
Kids, doh! I'm trying to negotiate a trip to Cumbria with my daughter before
Christmas and all she wants to do is take me to Denmark on the ferry. I do
declare, l'll never understand my kids. "I have to see Skagen, it's a MUST,"
she says.

I don't want to.

Daughter threatens to take me to a museum. It's degusting. I didn't bring
them up like that. "Skagen Painters" she says, open Wednesdays to Fridays.
It's disgusting. I'll be going next week.

Devastated.

looking at a boat rocking. I always though I'd treated them good and taken
care of them and .........I'd understand it if I had a fortune to leave em,
but all i have is a boat load o fleas.

You're an artist, aren't you? Don't you want to see other artists' work?
Don't you want inspiration? You obviously brought that girl up just right,
specially if she's tough enough to make her mother do what she wants from
time to time. Good luck to her! And do try to enjoy the museum.

PS - don't forget the postcard from Denmark!

Actually, that's the part I am looking forward to the most. The Skagen
painters are exceptional.

Oh I remember Skagerak from school geography lessons. Pretty rough crossing,
eh? Well, keep your stomach empty before you go... no big bacon butties or
anything.
