You have to give it to Al-Queda Jon.  They are very efficient when it
comes to bodies of the enemy delivered vs. what they have expended.

19 hijackers on 9/11/01 made 3,000 "innocent Americans" die.  They
didn't kill them, they made them die.  That's about 150 "innocents"
dead for every executor.  Very, very efficient!

Not sure of what the body count was on 7/7/05 in the London train and
bus bombings.  Maybe you can help me with that Jon.  But even if it was
"only"  400 "innocent limey Brits" for the 4 bombers that is a ratio of
100:1.  Also a very, very respectable showing!

Sure a soldier expects to survive or have a reasonable chance of 
surviving (particularly if he is delivering bombs from 15,000 ft). A 
suicide bomber knows he will not survive.

A suicide bomber believes (however mistakenly) in the cause he is 
killing and dying for while many a soldier does it becuase he is paid to 
(or compelled).

The thing you fail to mention about your 'brave soldiers' is that they
often go against a lesser enemy and have them severely outmanned,
outgunned AND outfinanced.  So, yes, your 'brave soldiers' take up arms
against armed opposition - knowing full well they are using stuff like
Abrams battle tanks against Yugos.  (You Brits do remember those little
cars named Yugos don't you? :-) )

And that is why groups like Al-Queda do things the way they have to do
them.  They have to do it that way because of the imperialist,

because of their stealth and less overhead.
