EWSs' Crossrail petition to the House of Commons
Don't think ahyone referred to this yet.

Looks like EWS have a number of objections to Crossrail. I've not
studied it yet, too much legal mumbo jumbo.

Remember that other businesses often put in objections so that their point
of view can be considered; they don't, necessarily, want the whole thing
stopped.

There have been 358 petitions against the bill. There will be a lot of
opposition in the House of Lords when it gets there, too, if it is not
changed first.

The main objection concerns the exclusive use of the relief lines west
of Paddington and the slow lines east of Liverpool Street by Crossrail
trains.

Count up the number of freight locations along those lines, and the
number of freight trains which use them, and you will appreciate the
kind of chaos which is likely to ensue unless someone applies some
common sense.

The Minister was briefed yesterday..

Let's see what happens next.
