Fire at Victoria   
Manchester Victoria, that is, anyway Man Vic is closed and evacuated due to 
fire in basement.  Hope there are no Gas Bottles down there!

Just heard Victoria is now open!   Must have put the fire out before the 
Brigade got there!

Not this Eddie. ;-)

I was always a passenger only, except when allowed to 'play'
with the ex-L&Y Signalling School model railway upstairs or
the Class 158 driving simulator. This was installed in an old bus
parked on the former Victoria <-> Exchange 'long' platform.

The nearest I got was, failing the "entrance" exam at Hunts Bank in 1964.
