Bristol Temple Meads to Penzance
I'd be grateful if someone with the resources at their fingertips could
show me a list of all Sunday trains direct from Bristol Temple Meads to
Penzance - if possible showing where each train originates - from the
timetable listed as 'after 18 september' which I can't get hold of!
Virgin, FGW, ATW, and Wessex are the TOCs to look for.
Thanks.

I'd heard about bustitution for a week this Sunday (18th), I may have
to suffer some of that myself. Anyone have any information more
specific than "engineering works between St Aus and Penz" - such as
where exactly, what exactly is being done, and when it's supposed to
finish.

Indeed bahn.de does not know our TOCs, nor do we supply then with
train numbers. But also from bahn.de, and this incidentally answers
the hon Usenaut's question about train origin - the full course of
these trains is given as:

(Maybe you can guess the TOCs from the origin stations?).
For this kind of purpose (especially if you want to post the results
to usenet) I recommend the so-called Lynx format:
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/el
Once you've got your train(s), use either [Detail] or [Journey Guide],
and then click on the "Train Number" links (which are generally
missing in the UK, represented instead by three dashes) to get the
full course of the trains in question. (The clickable dashes for the
missing train number were a little improvement which appeared not long
after I emailed them suggesting it, quite some time ago now, although
I have no proof it was as a result of my suggestion).
