Peugeot 306 wiper problem
Hi, the front windscreen wiper on 306 only operates on 1 setting, all other
setting is inoperative. Peugeot garage suggested to change the wiper motor
(150). I had tried with a used wiper motor, also changed the switch stalk
without any luck. Anyone had similar problem on the 306?

Haynes manual doesn't even show the relays on this car, I checked and found
2 relays (purple/violet) under the steering wheel which are supposed for the
front wiper. I switched them over and it is still the same. Anyone knows
which position the relays should be, or any control unit hidden somewhere?

Any help is appreciated.

What setting does it operate on. If you turn off the wipers, will they park
or stop where you switch off.

It works only on the 1st continuous setting, not intermittent or fast
setting. It stops where you switch off or turn to different setting. Also
the washer jet works but the wiper doesn't.

Re: Peugeot 306 wiper problem
If you've changed the switch then it must be the relay thats faulty. The
relay controls the intermittant, wash/wipe and park. There are two wiper
relays (front and back) The back relay is usually blue. Don't know about
main wiper relay. It'll probably have five pins four normal size and one 3mm
off to the side.
