71000 on MML?
My local paper tells me that Duke of Gloucester will be hauling a
special from St Albans to Crewe via Nuneaton on Saturday, saying that
the train is operated by Kingfisher. Neither the Kingfisher web site
nor the Main Line Steam Tours site mention this one - I suppose it
could be a private charter.

Can anyone confirm this please? I would like to be sure it is
running before going to look at 6.30am!

I have never photed on this line before. are there any good locations
near St Albans. I assume it will come out of Cricklewood so south of St
Albans will do as well.

Sounds like the usual standard of reporting by our wonderful media.

Kingfisher were running a tour from St Albans to Crewe on Saturday, but
it was going to be diesel-hauled (by a Class 47) and I believe that it
has now been cancelled. 71000 is already inside Crewe Works ready for
the open days.
