Current customers are getting huge discount deals if they say there leaving 
ntl so you should be able to get simmilar if you say your undecided between 
them and sky.

How Huge?

I get all the movies, sport and have a 2Mb internet and phone with them!

I called them earlier this week, heres what i WAS paying:

24.99 2 meg broadband
3.00 Analogue TV service
11.00 Phone rental
2.00 non Direct debit charge

total per month 40.99

I called them earlier this week and said i was thinking of going to a 
competitor (i was, with pipex dial) and  what could they offer to keep me as 
a customer.
They did the following for the next 12 months:

16.99 2 meg broadband
5.50 (half price) Phone rental
FREE analogue TV Service
NO DD charge

Total per month 22.49!!

You have tot talk to the right customer services, 0800 052 0243 only these 
people are allowed to do discounts etc

I've got NTL broadband internet and have a "recommend a friend" 
form, which would give you 10 off your first bill, and 30 off 
mine ;)

0800 183 5555

Number given on sky for 1Mb broadband for 9.99 a month until 30th Sep.
They may also have other offers

I wouldn't rush, since the 9.99/month "offer" was also on for 
until the end of July, so it can't have gone back to 17.99/month 
for very long.
