VT 1st Brum - Euston
Having recently started working in London and not being able to move
quite yet I've started to travel by train. The first class service is
great but according to the website
(http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/travelling_with_us/onboard/first_and_club/default.aspx)
they change their food every week. Well I've yet to see it happen. Do
any of the other regular first class types know if they do or are they
just bluffing me...

I should hope so too - after 7 days running up and down the main line it
will be getting a little stale!

They do change their menu every week. Basincally, you get the same
(ridiculous, in my opinion when you compare the minimalistic offering
to Midland Mainline and GNER) breakfast in the morning, then
bacon/sausage rolls. In the afternoon, it's a selection of barely
eatable sandwiches. The evening snack (from 5pm-8:30pm) changes every
week. Be warned, it is a very light snack. Last week, they had lovely
salmon. This week, the offering is disgusting (lamb). One would have
thought that considering the stupid First Class fares Virgin charge,
they would at least offer decent food. Or is that just restricted to
the Royal Scot/Caledonian, where you get a (half decent, but not
brilliant) complimentary meal.
