Now that the summer holidays are over manufacturers deliveries to
retailers will begin to resume.  For all those waiting for out of
stock products at places like Argos, not long to go now.

In my own case I've been waiting to order a Panasonic microwave from
my local independant electrical retailer, a Panasonic dealer.   I went
in around the beginning of July but they didn't have the model I
wanted so I said I'd order it.   Don't bother, came the reply, the
factory shuts down for eight weeks in the summer, best to come back in
September.   Even if we order it now, it won't be delivered till then.

So now its back to school and back to work I'm off round there to
order it this week.

Makes you wonder how these firms keep going.
