Motor hopper wagons Greenhithe Kent.
Appendix 4 of the book ''GEC Traction - Power for the worlds railways''
[OPC, ISBN 0 86093 413 6] the English Electric works list shows numbers
738-740 built 'Leeds Forge' 1928 as three standard gauge BoBo overhead
wire electric powered hopper cars for British Portland Cement
Manufacturers, Greenhithe, Kent.
And that is all I have been able to find, web search, reference books,
local history stuff.
Does anyone have any more gen or know of photos on this subject, the
hopper wagons, the railway, electrification system, extent of wiring,
extent of operations, etc ?
