I doubt the fire was big enough to hit the news. After all, even a very
small localised fire would fuck the discs.

They have been so slow sending out disks to me that I doubt I would have
noticed the effects of the hideous fireball.

I received this mail today from Tesco, I guess they are all part of the same
operation:

I'm writing to you regarding the DVD(s) that you recently returned to us.

You may be aware that we suffered a fire in our DVD rental warehouse
recently, and that we're currently working to recover full operating
systems.

I wanted to reassure you that the title(s) you've just enjoyed arrived back
with us safely, and processes are in place to handle all returned DVDs while
we work to get your next DVD out to you as soon as possible. You can check
the details on our website, on the 'My Selection' page.

We expect the current delays to last for another few days. Don't worry; you
will be compensated for any lost days and details of this will be coming out
sometime in the week of 5 September.

Thanks for bearing with us; we very much appreciate your support of Tesco
DVD Rental during this period. For more information please go to
http://www.tescodvdrental.com/visitor/help.html for queries or to contact
us.

Best wishes

The Tesco DVD Rental Team.

Yep, got the same email, almost word for word just substitute
ScreenSelect for Tesco, that was the only difference. Oh, and mine was
form the president of ScreenSelect, no less, not just the rental team
;-)
