Car Hire at Almeria Airport - Spain
Will need to hire a car for one week in November at Almeria airport in
Spain.

I have been looking at carjet.com and the prices seem good. Anyone
used them and have opinions & know what Spanish company they use at
the airport?

Any other on-line companies I could look at for a good deal?

Many thanks,

R.

I've been using Carjet for the past few years at Alicante Airport without
any problems at all. Always had a brand new car with under 6000 miles on the
clock. Thats usually peak season and no-one can touch them pricewise. Its
best to book at least a week in advance although at quieter times you'll
probably not have any trouble getting a car. Don't leave it too close to
your date as the prices jump a lot if you try to book at the last minute.

Friends this year got a car that was a couple of years old and insisted it
was changed, it was.

They gave me a right beaten up old wreck at Malaga airport - great gashes
down the side panels, no radio. Couldn't be arsed to complain as I was only
there three days. I wouldn't use them again (booked through Holiday Autos).

Funnily enough that's who CarJet used last time I booked through them for
Tenerife. Carjet were about 20% cheaper at the time than booking directly
with Record.

It was a Kia Picanto. Nasty little thing.

I have used them in Girona and Mallorca and never had a problem, They
used SOLMAR in each case

No excess is a good selling point, but last time they asked for extra
for "wheels and tyres" insurance. Not much as I recall probably about
30 Euro's, payable upon pick-up.

avoid hoilday autos
usless
let me down twice.

try www.moneysupermarket.com

I got a very cheap deal at almeria.
Only trouble was two flights arrived at once (it's a tiny airport) and a
huge queue for the same car hire company- out of a van in the car park,
whilst all the other car hire desks in the airport were empty. 40 mins wait!
