8 in 1 remote code for Sky digi?
Hi,

I wonder if anyone has found a suitable code for the latest Aldi 8 in 1
Tevion (8910) remote, one which works with a Sky Digi box?

Surprisingly I cannot find the above in the list contained in the
manual.

Look up Sky in the Sat section of the manual and try each of the codes

I'm using 278 on a Panasonic DSB30

Thanks......

I had failed to notice that the codes are sub-divided into different
sections for different appliances.

Which leads on to a new problem...

In the SAT section, Sky Digital is listed as code 154. Having set this
up it still doesn't work. I am certain I have got the right code,
because the 154 is showing in the display when I switch to using it to
control SAT.

Other than the above problem, surprisingly - I was not able to get the
control (by direct code, or code search) to find a code able to control
my new 42" Tevion plasma, or new Tevion Home Theatre audio system.

I did though manage to get it to control them by using the original
remote and the LEARN mode. This was much easier/quicker to do than when
I attempted to do it with its 8 in 1 predecessor. With that you had to
go through a whole series of button presses for each key. The new one
allows you to go though all the buttons in sequence, confirming on the
LCD display.

Re: 8 in 1 remote code for Sky digi?
Try code 278, this works with my Panasonic Sky Digital box, and I've
read alot of other people using 278 for Pace boxes.

What I normally do is use the auto scan function and everytime the box
goes into standby make a note of the code. Once finished I go through
each code to decide which gives the most fuctionality/works best - this
made me settle for code 278

Correction....

That is the correct code after all, as I just discovered by taking the
remote up close to the Sky digi. It seems the IR beam from remote is
aimed up at quite a steep angle. Pointing the remote down towards the
ground at an angle of around 30 degrees seems to work best. Which
explains why SEARCHING failed to find the correct code.

I've just split the case to look inside and the IR LED is indeed badly
aligned, correctly aligned it works much better :-)
