Hi there,
My car has started making a very strange metallic knocking noise when the
engine is warm, when i press the clutch in this noise stops however when i
lift the clutch the noise returns.
Has anyone any ideas what this could be??

Does it still do it if you put it in gear, if it stops when in gear with the 
clutch down, then it is probably a gearbox noise, it may be nothing to worry 
about if so, lots of them do that, sir!
