Audi A6 - opinions
What opinions do you have on the Audi 2.4 A6 estate, auto box, petrol. I
have a chance of buying a T reg which has 115k on the clock, one owner,
fully dealer serviced from new and mostly motorway miles. Are there any
serious gotchas with this car - like expensive failures waiting to happen?
What kind of mileage is it likely to be good for? I've never owned such a
car, will I be able to service it myself or will it have to be done at a
dealer to sort out the management system and the like?

Currently driving a vectra 2.0Di, this was a bad buy - I have spent a lot of
time with the spanners in hand! It does get 45mpg so I think this will be
down to about 28mpg with the Audi, probably amounts to about an extra 700
per year in fuel (13k).

Cheers

There's an after market software & hardware product that lets you do all
the dealer management things, you need a few specialist tools to change
the cambelt & the front wheel bearings are a pig without a hydraulic
press. But it gives you an excuse to buy one when they go & it only takes
an hr.
