Toilet with built in bidet
I am looking for a toilet with a built-in bidet type outlet for washing ones
backside afterwards. I have heard to the Geberit but that has too many
functions - I just want something simple.

Has anyone heard of these?

This reminded me of the first time I came across one of these, in a
Tokyo Hotel. Here's a cautionary tail.
I was fascinated by this gadget lurking under the loo seat so decided to
stand with one foot on either side of the seat so I could see whatever
was going to happen and pressed some buttons on the (impressive) control
panel. After a few hums and buzzes a nozzle slowly appeared from the
back of the seat and stopped in what would I suppose have been the
relevant position and then a surprisingly powerful jet of water appeared
out of it. Now, remember that I am stood on the loo seat with the
bathroom door open. The jet of water was powerful enough to arc through
the air, out of the bathroom and soak the top part of the bed in the
time that it took me to bend down and press buttons at random until it
stopped. If I'd been sat on it I think the jet might have been powerful
enough to come out of my mouth!
Once I'd stopped cursing and laughing I cautiously experimented and
found that various buttons either made the nozzle oscillate, or varied
the pressure or varied the temperature.
Make sure you opt for a simple one with instructions in English :-)

You might care to look here.

www.microshower.co.uk

About 25 quid apparently.

Apparently very handy for cleaning up after "Quickies". 8 -)

Read right through the site for more information than you probably
really wanted to know.

What I would ask given its intended application, is how it meets the
water regs.

Mmm, lovely.

normally if they had MicroShowers in the work toilets, ask their
employers to have them installed."

Given that you apply it upside down, won't the dirty water head back
onto the shower head for the next person to enjoy?

I certainly don't believe the line that it won't feel cold even though
it connects to the cistern inlet.

How would any body really know for certain that the previous user
hadn't dropped it in the "Toilet Water"?

Or even used it for more "internal purposes"?

Re: Toilet with built in bidet
I'm just back from Japan where it's common in hotels to have a toilet unit
that will wash (and on some models) blow-dry your backside. It's basically
a seat unit withs a control panel, it heats the water before it let's you
turn it on then you can control pressure of spray, there's also a bidet
function. It squirts from back of bowl so dirty water doesn't drip onto the
nozzle. I tried to find one to fit as a feature at home but they only seem
to be available for 120V and didn't fancy installing a big transformer in
the bathroom! Also a bit pricey - http://www.sandman.com/intimst.html

Anyway, I only came on here to find some instructions for changing a tap
washer, so I'll leave you to your thread now.
