Advice needed re shipping bedframe to N Ireland from London
It's a pine double bed, disassembled and the total bits weigh 45 kg.
It could be split over two packages of 30 and 15 kg. I'd use
ParcelFarce but they won't take anything over 1.5m and the sides of
the bed are 1.9m long.
Can anyone advise on the best, and most cost-effective, way of sending
it to Belfast from London?
TIA

I used to use Manfast when I worked in NI. If they're still going.
They were cheap but not necessarily fast.

Charity bed push! Used to see those all the time when I was young, but
haven't seen one for years now. Why is that? Is it an insurance thing or
some other problem?

I don't know where you would find an empty hospital bed that hadn't got a
patient in it and several others waiting to get in it!

I think it might be hard to get insurance for pushing it across the
Irish Sea.

Report the bed as being a "suspected terrorist from Belfast". Without
the need for a shred of evidence to back up their actions the
neanderthals in the Home Office will immediately slap an exclusion
order on it and send it back to Belfast. Cost to you = £0.00

Ooh, very eighties satirical. Last time I looked suspected Belfast
terrorists were given seats in government. Anyway I have been
suspected as an Irish terrorist myself. Admittedly only by my wife.
Besides, if I shopped my bed, I'd never be able to sleep in the one I
have now, which would consider me a tout.
Any *useful* suggestions please. Thanks for the one re manfast, I'm
looking into it.
