Look at Scan and ebuyer, there are plenty of TFTs on there.  They might not 
be the same model, but check the specs out and you might even find a better 
one.

He's right. Googling doesn't bring that price down to 170-180.

But yes there are other 19" monitors at cheaper prices.

IMHO though this Iiyama isn't at all bad for the money.

But also worth considering the Samsung 913N at the same price but no DVI or
in built speakers.

Some of the cheaper monitors listed on that link are from lesser known
brands. You'll take your risk with them.

There are still huge differences in quality in TFTs, and I really think you 
need to see before you buy. Lots of things like the angle of view and how 
good the back-lighting is are really important in practice, but people 
concentrate on other stuff.  I haven't seen the Iiyama 19" TFT myself, but I 
have been well pleased with their CRT monitors.  The cheaper ones are only 
10% or so less, but they might be much, much harder to live with.
