IS this ok for them to do this? i had a acknowledgement email giving me a
order number, do i have a ground to stand on?

None, zippo, zilch. This has been covered loads before in this and other 
forums.
It was a punt, a bit of fun. Meh.
It all gets a bit sad and pathetic when people start saying things like "I'm 
going to the court of human rights" or "I'm never shopping at Sainsbury 
again"!

to get the goods and how they should get over it.....

why is there such a big debate about top and bottom posting???
People argue top posting is the right thing to do, cause they argue if the
person wanted to see what the previous posting was they could just scroll
down.

Just for a second look at it this way, if the person didnt need to see what
the previous posting was then he could just as easily scroll down.

So both ways are debatable, i just go what ever i feel like at the time.
