Maplin have a 1 million cp one (lantern, not torch) for 6.99 - could you 
use three of them? Or stick a bigger wattage lamp in?

B&Q have a 5 million for about 15. They seem to have upped the candle power

Problem with these spotlights getting even more powerful is that the battery 
lasts for a shorter time with each increase.

Make sure it is actually 5 million candle power, I heard that someone 
had bought one, and it was only 4,999,999 candle power.

I don't know about others but I use mine mainly to check my sheep out in the 
fields.
