Acer AL1912s
Just picked up one of these babies from Tesco.

Price on shelf was 123.47 got one of staff to check price and she said it
was correct. Went to scan it myself and sure enough if came up at the same
price.

Funny thing was the 17" version had a shelf price of 175 something and it
scanned at that so i assume they are either clearing stock or they have made
a mistake.

Needless to say I bought one...clubcard points too.

Cant see any dead pixels, would these be obvious?

I am not sure what the response time is on these, I read somewhere that it
was 15 rising/10 falling but ebuyer quote 16ms anyone know if there are
differemnt versions of the 1912S? Anyway, just played looked at a couple of
dvds and can't see any problems with playback.

They also come with 3 years warranty.Carry in or mail in. Looks like they
pay postage back to you.

Cheers

Here's all I know:

Bought from the Telford Extra store this morning. It was the last 19" box on
shelf, didn't ask if they had more in the back. They had to fetch mine from
the warehouse as the boxes on display are all empty. There was no indication
to suggest the screen was reduced or on special offer so I assume they
mispriced it. It's 189 on tesco.com but prices do vary between net and
stores.

1280 x 1024 seems to be native res.

Installed Cleartype powertoy and looks even better.

Only went out for a loaf of bread, this is better.

It's 189 at my local too but thanks for the heads-up.

I think you did good.

16ms is good. Great for DVD playback or playing 3D games.
