Royal Scotsman is probably out and about, but can't remember where/when.
There's a kettle tour from Glasgow QS to Fort William and Mallaig on
Saturday and then from Fort William to Glasgow QS on Sunday.
Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Re: Scotty bash - any gen?
Come on you lot!!!! 24 hours to go until I depart for Carlisle and no more
info on special rail activities?...... or info on the Class 40 tour that was
mentioned?
I admire the knowledge that this NG shares between its posters but am very
surprised at how quiet you all are regarding this!

Please don't top post. Try reading http://mailformat.dan.info/quoting/
for whys and why nots.
For the kettle tour, try http://www.uksteam.info/index.shtml
There's a 52 to Carlisle on Saturday as well - can't remember what the
times are for that, but try the Pathfinder Tours website, I'm sure it
will have arrival and departure times.
