Sounds like you're getting the tail end of that hurricane that's devastating
Noo Orleans... Our stall/tent at SolFest was getting destroyed by the wind
yesterday. We had to dismantle it in the end, as bits were breaking and it
was in danger of collapsing on top of us.
I hope you're still in one piece, anyway!

I'm not sure that Katrina has had knock-on effects that far east yet. It
only made landfall on the Gulf Coast this morning. It's still headed
pretty much due north, overland. It should blow itself out in the next
few days, as it blows over the land, and those of us on the east coast
are currently not expecting anything very much from her.

Morning Ally, I've been watching the tv from New Orleans. They need to build
buildings with 4' square massive stone blocks. 55 dead. Terrible. The Mayor
asked all to leave the town.It can't be that easy, especially for people
without cars or money.
Orlando has put two more screws in the frame work of my markiser, I should
call them sails as they have the same function, so now I can fasten them in
four various positions giving them the possibility to pull the whole veranda
down if I don't take care, which I intend to.
Edith.

Have you seen the storm track? It is supposed to go right over
us around supper tomorrow. Should miss you and Bingo.
It'll just be a lot of rain but who needs that?
