Dell Axim X30 Wireless PAN/LAN - 624MHz
196 - down from 255, including vat and free delivery.

Is this a good deal? I'm thinking of adding in the Navteq Bluetooth
GPS Receiver with Car Charger + 256MB Secure Digital Memory for
180.95.

Has anyone used this system?

thanks

I use its big brother the x50v and think it is superb.
Are you adding a GPS receiver, car charger + 256mb SD card for 180.95?
That is way over the price you can get those things on their own.

For example:
GPS 60 from http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/
256mb 12 Ebuyer
Charger 10 PDA Bitz

Dells price is about 100 too dear.

For my x50v I bought one of those Seidio mounts that holds your PDA and
charges it at the same time. Also has a speaker that you can plug your PDA
into. Cost 39. I also bought a Fortuna GPS unit which is great. I paid over
100 for it but now see they are selling new on Ebay for about 60.

It also includes maps ( I think by navteq) and software.

Does this still seem overpriced?
Tom Tom on it's own is 134.95 and I'd have to buy a bluetooth
receiver as well.

I haven't been able to find out much about the dell navigation
software, I was wondering if anyone who has used it could comment.

Thanks, I'll wander over there and have a look.

But I'd still like to know if the Axim is a good deal as it has been
reduced by 60 with free delivery.

Thanks

If you want a smartphone and you're prepared to wait. I'd go for the new iPAQ
hw6715. It comes with a built in GPS!

It's also has push email (Blackberry RIM style) and builtin WiFi, GPRS and
Bluetooth. What more could you need? 3G maybe?
