Steam at Old Oak 20/08
Travelling on the Southern service to Watford Junction on Saturday (20th),
we were just passing North Pole (around 07:20) as a steam loco was on the
track nearest the canal -- couldn't see what it was, or in which direction
it was travelling.
Carrying on past Willesden I saw what I assumed was another steam loco --
this on the far end of a rake of coaches with a 67 at the nearest end. I
say "assumed" as I didn't think there was any way a train could get from
OOC to Willesden in such a short time.
Was I fantasising and it really _was_ the same one (in which case, which?)
or were there really two (ditto).
TIA
