Kings Cross to Newcastle- a 'proper' cab view
Hello all,
This is nothing to do with me but I can recommend it after buying it on
ebay. This is an outstanding DVD from Newcastle to Kings Cross and back
but unlike Video 125 efforts (although very good) this is unedited, and
has all the information a driver could need about the route, signal
numbers, if they automatic, controlled or semi automatic, how many
aspects, junctions, line speeds, so much more an amazing DVD! In some
places it even gives the NRN and CSR codes as well!!

Once again I would stress its not got anything to do with me but I just
know there will be people on here who are interested in such things!
It also got me wondering if the flat crossing at Newark is the only one
of its type in the UK or not?

Flat Crossing
2 railways which cross each on same level elevation
i.e. no bridge, and no junction points.
Such as just north of Newark NorthGate station on the ECML the
Nottingham to Lincoln route crosses straight over the formation
A separate spur links ECML Newark NorthGate station with Lincoln line.
