37s on the Fort William Sleeper
They still seem to be hanging on. Anyone know when the 67s are likely
to take over?

Very likely to be if, or according to some quarters when :), EWS regain
the contract at the end of December, or thereabouts.

Indeed there are rumours about 57s doing it as they are now passed for the
WHL although where they are going to get them from is anybodys guess!

Hire in from Virgin while Brush build some? It has been said that they have
an excess of 57/3s.

There will be four available 57/3s from March if the comics are to be
believed.

If you're referring to VT, I very much doubt they'd get rid of the 57s
even if the Holyheads were to cease. They are required for rescue and
diversionary duties.

But only if the SRA (sorry, DfT) think they're worth paying for. VT only
have a cost+ management contract.....

Would appear to be very unlikely that 37s will finish this year. Fort
William and Queen Street drivers happily carrying on with them with nothing
from their union saying that training for 67s will take place
