Good deals on good vacuum cleaners?
Hi everyone,
I`m after a decent vacuum cleaner. Bagless would be nice but not essential,
more important would be getting lots of dog hairs out of carpet, and a good
filter to keep as much dust out of the air as possible. Idealy budget would
be under 150, but could stretch a bit further if it made a big difference.

Not keen on a Dyson because of their appauling reputation for quality.

Thanks!

When this question has been asked previously the recommendations have been
for the Miele Cat and Dag, the Henry, and even Dyson.

I have no experience with any of these but am very pleased with our Bissell
upright (but converts to a cylinder) bagless Lift-Off which you can buy new
or reconditioned from
https://www.bissell-secure.co.uk/bissell/shop/catalogView0.jsp It
definitely gets cat and dog hair out of our carpets, has a Hepa filter, and
is well within your budget.

Ah, so not a special model for the Aussie market after all. Could have gone
down well in Wales.

I agree that the Miele Cat and Dog is fantastic. We have a dog and it's the
best vacuum cleaner I've used (tried different Dyson models, Henry, Vax,
etc).

Grendel.

I have 8 dogs and 20 cats so plenty of hair about. I swear by my henry
which I use without a bag and for which I bought a turbo head attachment. My
present henry is around14 years old, used daily and still sucks like a 30
whore.
The last bit is rude but it's what a friend said of my henry when he
borrowed it lol.
