Winkflash
All,

I signed up to Winkflash on the back of a number of recommendations in
this group and am having nothing but trouble with it. I'm trying to
upload a folder of 48 pictures (88mb in total) over a 802.11g wireless
network using a 512k ADSL connection.

If I try to upload the entire folder I get an error sayinb:

"AXFFile error

Error: Source = SoftArtisans.XFRequest.1
Description = the connection with the server was reset"

Furthermore, it seems that if I try to upload more than 10 pics at a
time using the "drag n drop" feature it looks like it uploads them but
then when it completes and switches to the folder it hasn't uploaded
the files.

I've tried this on two PCs (both Win2K) with the same result.

TIA for any help!

Well I'd guess that a site that purports to offer unlimited storage of any
file type and size for an unlimited time is bound to run into a few
performance issues.

The site is running like a pig in treacle right now so I would say it is
almost entirely an issue at their end.

Btw your upload speed is 256kbps = ~1.5mb per min at full speed.

Cheers. I'll try it again at some point. It was predicting about 45-50
minutes for the upload but invariably timed out after 10-15 and failed
the whole job.
