Ticketing, break of journey
I think I know the reply to this.

I'm thinking of visiting Nottingham this w/e from Darlington.

I'd like to visit Lincoln. Via Newark is valid for Lincoln.

If I got a Lincoln saver and a Nottingham Newark return I could break my
retrun journey at Newark and do a trip to Nottingham.

On Sunday Nottm to Newark is via Grantham. I take it I'd need to be on a
train that stopped in Newark for this to be valid.

Yes, that's fine as your breaking your journey on the return leg, which
is permitted on a saver.

Yes, the train needs to stop at the station at which you're swapping
from one ticket to the other.
