Ebuyer current status
I'm thinking of buying from Ebuyer again soon.

However, recently I've delayed buying from them as there has been a lot of
news about them being slow as they are moving distribution sites.

Are Ebuyer still slow or are they getting better?

Thanx.

No, they appear (to me at least) completely screwed. I ordered a
couple of CF cards on the 15th. Shown as in stock with standard
delivery for thursday 18th. Nothing thursday or friday, or monday.
Website showed the order as "pick in progress".

Phoned on Monday, got disconnected about a dozen times. Got into
the wating queue on 3 or 4 occassions - only to be disconnected
after a few minutes. EVENTUALLY stayed in the waiting queue for
about 35 minutes and got answered.
Lady on the phone says they are having "computer problems" and
sometimes orders get stuck and not sent to the warehouse (didn't
stop them debiting my card :-).
She "fixed" the order and lo and behold, the website order status
changed. She said delivery definitely on wednesday, i.e. tomorrow

Website shows order status has gone back to "pick in progress"

Will phone again tomorrow if I have the energy - and the order isn't
delivered

I used to use DABS, 'til they became crap. Then I moved on to
ebuyer - who seem to have gone the same way. Any suggestions
for a good, reliable and low-cost (as opposed to "cheap") new supplier?

Pete

I placed an order on 5th August, for a graphics card and a few bits. There
was plenty (i.e 300+) in stock of each item. Everything is still showing
"not allocated" in my order and the gfx card has now gone out of stock,
though it says "1 expected 24th august" so I'm praying!

Try www.udiggit.com just had my 1st order from them, they answered an
email before purchase in the same day & they have a phone number but I
have not tried to call, but all arrived without a problem.
