Looking for Cheap Place to stay in Central Manchester this Friday?
Wonder if anyone can help me with this one, i'm going to Manchester for
the day and would ideally like to stay over. The Black Friars
Travelodge where i have stayed before don't have any 26 rooms available
(in fact they're looking for 70). This would have been ideal as they
have free overnight safe parking available too.

willing to pay up to 30 for an ensuite family room so i'd need to cater
for 2 adults, 1 child & 1 toddler with a cot provided). Guess its a bit
of a tall order with it being a Bank Holiday weekend i guess :-(

email address is valid for anyone who cares to reply that way.

Thanks for that, i'll see what else i can come up with but if its
looking round about the 50 mark then i'll just end up leaving earlier
and driving home, its only 2hrs but it would have been a bit less hassle
to stay over!

www.smoothound.co.uk

Use the map to pick out Manchester, order by postcode.

There's loads to choose from, several under 50 - start ringing around.

I used them and the place I stayed at (down south) was excellent.

Try http://www.britanniahotels.com/ , book before 4th September and get a
room for 19.50. Lovely hotel. If you watch Corrie, you would have seen it
on TV.

Copperheads Hotel (2*)
187-189 Chapel street
Manchester Lancashire M3 5EQ

Technically in Salford, it is just a short walk from the Manchester
city centre. It looks like they still have some rooms with breakfast
for 35 to 45. From the site:

"PLEASE NOTE HOTEL IS UNDER REFURBISHMENT AT THE MOMENT.
Follow the signs to Manchester city centre. Go towards Deansgate. From
Deansgate turn on to Bridge street. Bridge street becomes New Bailey
Street. We are situated on the corner Of New Bailey Street and Chapel.
Adjacent to Salford Central Train Station."

Worthwhile considering if the refurbishment doesn't bother you.

Just make sure it has secure car parking - that isn't the best part of
the world!

Seriously, good luck in your hunt but it's pretty short notice for
*any* weekend in Manc (especially as you want the cheapest rates).
Picaddilly station can be as busy early Saturday evening as Monday
morning with the thousands who turn up at the weekend to go out in
town...
