Let's hope it doesn't end up tasting as bad as the half-pint of GK IPA
I had in London!

We do not seem to be able to stop take-overs, they his the press as a
done deal. I hope they don't move brewing to GK, as you say IPA, should
not have been CBOB, perhaps we shall see more of Belhaven in the south.

Another good reason to boycott GK beers, as I have been doing since
they announced they were going to close Ridley's.

The pints of Abbott I've had here in Tokyo have been quite drinkable.
I had a pint of Spitfire the other day that obviously didn't travel
well, it was in pretty poor condition. The pub put on another keg,
same problem.

As an aside here's only one cask brewer in Japan, he learnt to
brew at Greene King. One thing I can say about his IPA is it is
consistent, consistently sour! But it's still better (if that's
the appropriate word) to the half of IPA I was talking about. Now
that was the longest half TWO of us have drunk! :-)

It wasn't - it was champion bitter but not Champion Beer of Britain.

Get the facts right!

Or both the IPA and Abbott in Cambridge. Both reprehensible.
