Just a quick one; does anyone know what travel perks a New Entrant employee
gets after retirement?

http://www.atoc.org/rst/rules_guides/SRLS034.pdf makes no reference to
retirement, but does state that the facility is provided on a
non-contractual basis.

Depends entirely on the TOC, as unlike former BR 'safeguarded' staff
there is no contractual entitlement to any travel facilities.
Having said that, most TOCs do grant free travel to retired employees
but I guess there is small print to say it can be withdrawn at any
time.
