Excessive Security Messages
There was some discussion before about whether people really need to be
told to take their belongings with them (as if they didn't want them).
But now I am getting increasingly frustrated (literally, in that I have
missed at least one train because of it) by the constant appearance of
fixed messages on displays which are designed to display updated
information about train services.
In this example (http://www.trainstuff.org.uk/waterlooeast) two
displays, inches apart, are showing the same fixed message. You'd
think one of them might be reserved for train information at least.
What policy does someone think they are following by using the displays
in this way? Why not put fixed messages on fixed signs?

Yes they do, a suprising number of people just leave things around, not even
worry about then getting stolen whilst they wonder off.....

Not sure how the CIS copes with this one, but mostly just an audible warning
will do, as blind people cannot read and wont be able to see the boards for
the fat person in front.

At least there are two screens. Around here the television sets
seldom display train information, because they are displaying
so-called security messages instead.

I will always explain revoked keys, unless the UK government
prevents me by using the RIP Act 2000.

We get that here (Canterbury West), as well as pages talking about
engineering works (which are also displayed on a poster underneath or
near to the screen) and warnings that some of the services are operated
by slam-door stock and that we should stay behind the yellow line! Oh,
and occasionally it shows the trains due ;)
