I understand that there is some sort of trial of an experimental train
regulation procedure (described as "self-regulation") going on in the
Bristol area. Can anyone confirm this ? And if so, what is it all about
and is it working ?

Here's hoping that it marks the return to a more rational policy of
prioritising different (late running) services !
