I vaguely remember a Crompton running into a VEP at Lingfield sometime
in the 90s I think it was but I cannot find anything about it anywhere.
Can anyone oblige with information and pictures?

I remember an article in Rail from about that period where an EMU broke
down and the loco sent to assist ran into the train, would that be the
one?
